Biography
Majidreza Rahnavard was a 23-year-old worker from Mashhad who was arrested during the 2022 Woman, Life, Freedom movement. He was publicly executed by hanging on December 12, 2022, following a fast-tracked trial that human rights organizations described as unfair and lacking due process. He gained widespread recognition for his final request, captured on video, asking people to celebrate his life with joy and happy music rather than mourning at his grave.
مجیدرضا رهنورد کارگر ۲۳ سالهای اهل مشهد بود که در جریان جنبش زن، زندگی، آزادی در سال ۱۴۰۱ بازداشت شد. او در ۲۱ آذر ۱۴۰۱، پس از یک روند دادرسی که نهادهای حقوق بشری آن را ناعادلانه و شتابزده خواندند، در ملاعام در مشهد به دار آویخته شد. وصیت ویدئویی او پیش از اعدام که در آن از مردم خواسته بود بر مزارش گریه نکنند و با پخش موسیقی شاد، شادی کنند، بازتاب گستردهای یافت و او را به نمادی از مقاومت تبدیل کرد.
